The Highland Park School District is pleased to welcome Ashley Raywood as its new Supervisor of Educational Services.
Ms. Raywood brings fourteen years of experience in education, having served as both a special education teacher and, most recently, a Supervisor of Special Services. Throughout her teaching career, she worked across multiple grade levels and in a variety of educational settings, experiences that provided her with a strong foundation in meeting the diverse needs of learners and helped shape her student-centered approach to leadership.
Ms. Raywood describes her leadership style as collaborative, relationship-driven, and solution-oriented. She believes that when educators are supported and empowered, it creates greater opportunities for student growth and success.
In her current role as Supervisor of Special Services, Ms. Raywood oversees special education programming across multiple grade levels, leads the Child Study Team and related services departments, supports the implementation of Intervention and Referral Services and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support, and serves as the district's McKinney-Vento Liaison, among other responsibilities.
Outside of her professional work, Ms. Raywood enjoys spending time with her husband, their two young daughters, and their two dogs.
As she begins her new role in Highland Park, Ms. Raywood shared her enthusiasm for joining the school community.
