Curriculum & Instruction: Field trips up for approval include the high school musical students walking to Bartle to perform a teaser of the upcoming musical, HS trips to see a Spanish Play in NYC, to Hershey Park for a Music in the Parks Festival, and to New Brunswick for a Model UN competition. Bartle field trips up for approval include Camp Bernie, the Liberty Science Center, and Liberty Hall at Kean University. A job description for a “District Registrar” and changing the May 13th, 2024 meeting from a workshop to a voting meeting are also up for approval. 


Equity & Excellence: The recent committee meeting included updates on AP & Honors Accessibility, Bartle Rise Jr. and Irving’s Therapeutic Support Program, and the district’s Comprehensive Equity Plan, which is required to be developed and submitted to the County Office of Education every 3 years. 


Personnel & Communication: The process for hiring a new high school principal has included 3 levels of interviews and the involvement of committees of students, staff, administration and a Board member. 

The agenda includes a resolution to accept the resignation of Aislinn Stodolski, Supervisor of Funded Programs and District Initiatives, and the retirement of June Miller, Special Education teacher, effective June 30th.
