Professional Development

The Highland Park School District is committed to the ongoing professional development of all staff. Quality, comprehensive and continuous professional learning is paramount for continued professional growth to improve practice for the advancement and success of all students. The Highland Park School District and the Professional Development Committee works diligently to plan quality professional development opportunities for all staff.

This year, staff participated in three professional development days prior to students beginning school. An additional day of professional development will be provided on February 16, 2018.  The district also offers an after-school Professional Development Academy; staff can select from a catalogue of professional development opportunities. New teachers participate in the mentoring program for two days in the summer and four additional after-school professional development sessions throughout the school year.

Please see the resources tab for more information on our professional development program.
